REVIVAL made with DuPont™ Corian® - Finalist in the New Design Britain Awards 2012
Revival is a domestic upholstered sofa, reminiscent of 1960s furniture design.

A high end product constructed from American White Oak, Glacier White Corian and upholstered in real leather with contrasting top-stitching. The single seat and back cushions incorporate an off centre stitch line detail to encourage the users to sit closer together.

Stuart Melrose
The designs will see their first commercial showing at 'Interiors' exhibition. The pieces will be featured in the 'Design Village' a creative hub put on by Designers Block where visitors will be able to find inspiration, meet designers and see the latest on-trend designs.

An obvious inspiration to this table is its layered bubble gum aesthetic.

"The goal was to create an object based on the inspiration out of multiple inlays of Corian®, the idea of the inlays tricking your eye into thinking the object is actually made from ever decreasing layers."

"I loved the repetition of the simple 3d pattern across the front of the units doors.The idea was to create a side board with a bit more colour and character than the normal, utilising this playful nature of the material."
