Stand X43: D*Haus launch the dynamic D*Table and D*Light
D*Light shortlisted for a Blueprint Award at 100% Design!
Inspired by Henry Ernest Dudeney’s discovery in 1908 of how a perfect square can evolve into an equilateral triangle, The D*Haus Company have now translated the concept into a design philosophy. Daniel Woolfson of The D*Haus Company explains,
“The dissection of the square into 4 distinct shapes allows it to be rearranged to form the triangle. This concept alone is fascinating, but the possibilities are endless when applying this formula to the world of architecture and design. D*Haus works with this geometric puzzle at a variety of scales to adapt to architecture, furniture, lighting and lifestyle products.”

D*Table is a rotatable, dynamic design that can change shape from a perfect square to a perfect equilateral triangle with 6 different shapes in the stages between the 2 ‘complete’ forms. The table is highly interactive and flexible. Each section is constructed using DuPont™ Corian® hi-tech surface and can be made in any of the 100 colours available for the material. Stand X70: “Anemoi” luminaries and Plie fruit bowls by Jay Watson:
Australian born, British based designer Jay Watson shows at 100% Futures for his third year running. On show will be a new energy-enhanced version of his popular Anemoi luminaires, plus the elegant Plie fruit bowls. Made with super bright LEDs they are available to order in five different colours and two sizes. (www.jaywatsondesign.com)

Stand C35: 100% STEVE Desk and LINE handles by AMOS Design:
At 100% Design, AMOS Design also proposes a creative concept for incorporating DuPont™ Corian® into furniture production – offering integrated door and drawer handles made from the material. These handles can be shaped as desired, either embedded or mounted onto the furniture and made in a wide range of colours of DuPont™ Corian®.

Stand X95: ‘Spinning’ Desk and Dressing Table by Noel Blakeman:
Sculptor Noel Blakeman, whose ‘Spinning Seats’ outdoor design made in DuPont™ Corian® hi-tech surface caused a stir at the Chelsea Flower Show and 100% Design a couple of years ago, has now further developed this distinctive concept and ‘floating leaf’ shape into new furniture designs.
The first is a Desk that has three sections made in DuPont™ Corian® with a stainless steel core; two of the sections are movable desk tops and the lower section is a movable seat.
The second piece is a Dressing Table which again uses the same curving shape but cut in half along its length to create a design that is 1480mm long and 300mm wide. This design can also be made in any of the 100 colours of DuPont™ Corian®. (photography will be available at and after the show)
